Artistic Styles
Photo-realism:
Photo-realistic art is either hand drawn or digital art that
looks real. Below is a bottle. But this is not actually a real bottle.
This bottle is hand drawn so well that it looks real. This technique is used in
some games, for example, games like ‘the division’ and ‘the last of us’. this type of art style helps immerse the player in the game as it all looks so real.

Exaggerated is an art style that is mainly used in anime. It is when the features of a character or environment are enhanced. For example: anime characters have large eyes and usually consist of popping colours.
Abstraction:

Abstraction is an art style that is different from the rest as it is the opposite of photo realism and uses shape colour and form to create an unusual and unique piece. An example of abstract art is tetris.

Pixel:
Pixel is a very basic art style which uses little colour variation and pixels to form a scene and characters. An example of this is the first Mario games which were 8-bit. There is little colour in the Mario games and it looks very simplistic but it works well with the game.
